Galatasaray set sights on former Besiktas target Martin Linnes

Galatasaray have been linked with a move for Molde’s in-demand right-back Martin Linnes.

Eurosport report that the Lion’s are on the hunt for a new right back and that newly appointed manager Mustafa Denizli has urged the board to sign the Norwegian international.

Linnes was being closely monitored by Besiktas at the beginning of the season but opted to sign Andreas Beck on a free transfer.

The Norwegian right-back played a staring role in Molde’s win over Fenerbahce this season in the Europa League and got himself on the scoresheet.

Galatasaray are expected to make major revisions to their squad following a disappointing start of the season. The Istanbul giants find themselves in third place with 30 points in 17 games.

The Lions are 11 points off Turkish Super Lig leaders Besiktas and ten points behind rivals Fenerbahce.

Galatasaray take on Sivasspor in their next Turkish Super Lig fixture.
