Premier League side Watford FC have set their sights on Galatasaray’s star goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotomac, Muslera is a key target for the Hornets this summer.

The 32-year-old is currently on international duty with the Uruguay national team at the World Cup. Muslera has played a key role in La Celeste’s run to the quarterfinals where they will take on France.

However, Watford face an uphill challenge in their quest to sign Muslera this summer. The Uruguay international signed a new long-term deal with Galatasaray last summer keeping him at the club until 2021.

Meanwhile, the daily Turkish paper Sozcu claim that Galatasaray have slapped a £20 million price tag on the Uruguayan goalkeeper.

Furthermore, Muslera is a firm fan favourite amongst Galatasaray fans and the Istanbul giants will participate in the UEFA Champions League this summer.

Muslera kept 13 clean sheets in 38 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions last season.
