Galatasaray have stepped up efforts to sign Liverpool striker Divock Origi sources close to the Super Lig outfit revealed to Turkish-Football.

The Lions failed to complete the transfer of Alan and Pato after holding crunch talks in Dubai.

Club vice-president returned to Turkey empty-handed after reaching an agreement in principle with both players.

Galatasaray have now shifted attention to other targets and are in talks with 10 players.

Origi has been a name on the Lions shortlist for months but Liverpool have turned down previous attempts to loan the Belgium international.

The Reds have not found a buyer for Origi with just over a week remaining in the transfer window.

Galatasaray had originally planned to revisit loaning the 23-year-old towards the end of January.

The problem the Super Lig outfit have is that Liverpool sold Solanke to Bournemouth which moved Origi up the pecking order.

The Belgium striker is not expected to play a major role for the Reds but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will allow him to leave this month.

Origi has two assists and one assists in five appearances for the Reds this season and will enter the last 12 months of his contract over the summer.
