Galatasaray Striker Osimhen Faces Controversy After Alleged Altercation

Galatasaray’s Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, is embroiled in controversy following an alleged altercation with a journalist in Istanbul, according to Posta.

The incident, which reportedly involved physical and verbal confrontation, occurred late at night as Osimhen was leaving an entertainment venue with friends.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli earlier this season, was reportedly approached by a group of journalists, including Tolga Bozduman, who attempted to take his photograph.

Turkish media outlet Posta Newspaper claims the situation escalated quickly. Bozduman described the encounter: “I filmed Osimhen at the door with three of my colleagues. When the flashes went off, all hell broke loose. He ran towards me, screaming. He tried to take my camera away from me, but I didn’t let him.”

Bozduman further alleges that Osimhen punched him in the head and offered him money to delete the footage. When Bozduman refused, he claims Osimhen threatened him.

Neither Osimhen nor Galatasaray have yet to officially address the journalist’s claims. The club has remained silent on the matter, and Osimhen has not commented publicly.

Despite the controversy, Osimhen has been a key player for Galatasaray on the pitch. The forward has netted 15 goals and provided six assists in 19 matches across all competitions this season.

As Galatasaray prepare for a crucial Turkish Super Lig fixture against Konyaspor on Friday, manager Okan Buruk will be hoping Osimhen can deliver another strong performance and help the team secure victory at Nef Stadium.
