Galatasaray Tables Offer for Donnarumma, Man City Also Monitoring Situation

Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray has reportedly submitted a substantial contract offer to Paris Saint-Germain’s star goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, signaling their intent to negotiate with the French champions according to Football Italia.

However, Premier League giants Manchester City are also said to be closely monitoring the situation surrounding the Italy captain.

Donnarumma’s current contract with PSG is set to expire in June 2026. While talks between the player and the Ligue 1 club regarding a new deal are ongoing, a notable gap reportedly remains between the two parties.

This has led to speculation, with L’Équipe [as reported by Football Italia] reporting that PSG is considering Lille’s Lucas Chevalier as a potential successor to Donnarumma.

Sources indicate that Donnarumma has acknowledged Galatasaray’s lucrative offer. However, he is taking his time to deliberate on his future and has not yet given his approval for a potential move to Turkey.

Interestingly, Galatasaray has also reportedly made inquiries about Manchester City’s current goalkeeper, Ederson.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side is keeping a keen eye on Donnarumma’s contractual developments in Paris. Despite having an agreement in place to re-sign James Trafford from Burnley, City has reportedly requested to be kept informed of any future developments concerning Donnarumma.

While several Italian clubs had previously shown interest in Donnarumma, they are not currently believed to be active participants in the race for his signature.
