Galatasaray in talks with Inter Milan to negotiate deal for Japan international Yuto Nagatomo

Galatasaray are hoping to sign the Japan international star defender Yuto Nagatomo this summer.

Nagatomo joined Galatasaray on loan during the January transfer window and has been a massive hit at the Istanbul based club. The versatile full-back has already established himself as a firm fan favourite among Galatasaray fans despite only being at the club for six months.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio met with Galatasaray chiefs yesterday to discuss the sale of Nagatomo.

However, the report goes onto state that Inter has no intention of letting the Japan international leave for anything less than €3 million.

Calciomercato go onto state that Inter are keen to offload the former Cesena star this season to comply with UEFA’s financial fair play regulations.

Nagatomo played a major role in Galatasaray’s title-winning success this season and has established himself as a first-team regular in Fatih Terim’s starting eleven.

The 31-year-old provided three assists in 15 appearances for the Lions this term.
