Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer activity is intensifying, with reports indicating a significant shake-up in the club’s attacking ranks. Spurs have reportedly sanctioned the departure of Brazilian forward Richarlison and are actively pursuing a major upgrade in the form of Brentford’s Yoane Wissa.

Richarlison’s tenure in North London has been characterized by flashes of quality interspersed with persistent injury setbacks and inconsistent performances. Since his arrival, the 28-year-old has registered 20 goals in 90 appearances across all competitions, a return that has largely fallen short of expectations given his substantial transfer fee.

Despite an apparent admiration from new manager Thomas Frank, TeamTalk reveals that Spurs have given the “green light” for the frontman to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, who are now firmly in the running for his signature.

The arrival of Thomas Frank at Tottenham is already influencing transfer priorities, with the manager reportedly turning his attention to a familiar and reliable face: Yoane Wissa. The Congolese international flourished under Frank’s previous stewardship at Brentford, evolving into one of the Premier League’s most effective wide forwards.

Wissa concluded the 2024/25 season with an impressive 12 goals and three assists, showcasing attributes such as power, pace, and directness that make him a natural fit for the aggressive, transition-heavy system Frank is expected to implement at Spurs.

TeamTalk further notes that “internal discussions regarding a potential move for Wissa have already taken place following Frank’s arrival,” underscoring his integral role in the club’s summer plans. This highlights Tottenham’s urgency to reshape their forward line, particularly with Dominic Solanke already onboard as a more central attacking option.

Adding another layer of intrigue to Richarlison’s future, Fenerbahçe boss Jose Mourinho is also reportedly monitoring the Brazilian, potentially setting up a Süper Lig showdown for his signature. While Galatasaray currently holds the lead in the chase, Mourinho’s interest could either drive up the asking price or compel Tottenham to finalize a quicker deal.

Whether it culminates in a loan or a permanent sale, Richarlison’s departure from Tottenham appears to be a matter of when, not if. The critical question now for Spurs is whether they can swiftly secure Wissa, providing Thomas Frank with the necessary tools to usher in a fresh and dynamic attacking era in North London.
