Galatasaray have been closely linked with the 27-year-old defender and were reported to be in talks with the German international.
Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor were also reported to be keeping tabs on the experienced defender.
The 27-year-old centre back has made 14 appearances for Germany but is eligible to play as a Turkish national in Turkey.
Taşçı would however, be classed a foreign player next season due to changes in the foreign player ruling. Under the new rules players of Turkish origin who play for an international team other than Turkey will be considered a foreign player.
The experienced defender was born in Germany but has Turkish citizenship through his parents.
Taşçı joined Spartak on a £3.5m move from Stuttgart last season and still has two-years left on his contract.
