The Yellow Reds plan to hold talks with Jorginho – whose contract with Arsenal will expire at the end of the season – as soon as possible over a potential January move.
Jorginho has struggled for playing time this season.
He was been left on the bench for the last two games, he played just two minutes of Premier League football in the two games before that. In total the 31-year-old has one goal in 18 appearances in all competitions this season.
The Italian star is reportedly unhappy with his lack of playing time at Arsenal and wants to move to a club where he can play regularly.
Jorginho is keen on moving in January because he wants to make it to the Italy national team Euro 2024 squad and will need to get more action in order to be in contention for a place.
Galatasaray would be signing Jorginho as an important first team player and he would be competing in the Super Lig title race and the Europa League.
However, Galatasaray may have to wait until the end of the season to sign Jorginho as a free agent as Arsenal could decide to keep him on until the end of the term.
The Gunners are also in the title race and Jorginho gives the midfield extra depth and quality in case of injuries.
