Galatasaray are eager to say goodbye to Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele, whose underwhelming loan spell saw him contribute little in the first half of the season and replace him with Arsenal midfielder Jorginho according to the Vatan newspaper.

Talks with Tottenham and Ndombele’s agent for a separation are underway, aiming to avoid any compensation fees.

Ndombele’s 210 Super Lig minutes and 90 Champions League minutes failed to impress, failing to register even a single goal or assist. His €3.136 million price tag for this season will be borne solely by Galatasaray, as Tottenham received no loan fee.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk reportedly wishes for a high-IQ, stable midfielder who can orchestrate both attack and defense. Enter Jorginho, the Italian maestro currently benched at Arsenal.

Seeking regular playing time before Euro 2024, Jorginho seeks a competitive team where he can shine. His expiring contract and Buruk’s midfield vision, as conveyed to the management, make him a perfect fit.

Jorginho’s intelligence, stability, and ability to manage both offensive and defensive phases perfectly complement Lucas Torreira.

Buruk envisions Jorginho as the lynchpin of a strengthened midfield, allowing the offensive line more freedom.

The management is wasting no time, planning a meeting with Arsenal this week to secure Jorginho’s transfer.

Galatasaray officials are expected to land in England soon and reshuffle their midfield to help towards their efforts in the title race and the Europa League.
