Galatasaray will reportedly terminate the contract of Tottenham loanee Tanguy Ndombele in January and try to replace him with Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi according to Fanatik.

Per the source, the Lions will part ways with Ndombele as he has not met expectations and plan to terminate his contract.

The Red-Yellows aim to strengthen the midfield with a player who can complement Lucas Torreira.

They have a number of options in this position, but Wilfred Ndidi has emerged as the top target.

Galatasaray will try to sign the 26-year-old defensive midfielder from Leicester City in January.

The midfielder will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs a contract extension. As things stand Galatasaray are able to enter direct talks with Ndidi but would have to pay Leicester a fee if they want him in January.

Ndidi was previously on Galatasaray’s radar in the summer, but the clubs could not agree on a transfer fee.

The Nigeria international has three goals and five assists in 18 appearances in all competitions this season.

Ndidi is an important first team player for the Foxes who are top of the Championship table but unless he signs a new deal they could be forced to sell in January if they want a transfer fee.

Galatasaray are currently locked in a two-way title race with Fenerbahce and progression to the next round of the Champions League is a possibility.
