Galatasaray want Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth according to Turkish newspaper Yeni Asir.

Foyth has struggled for playing time under the management of Jose Mourinho and Galatasaray could provide an opportunity for regular first-team football.

The Lions have made signing a defender a priority over the winter transfer window following injury to Christian Luyindama who is expected to miss the rest of the season.

The report claims that Galatasaray are waiting for Mourinho to make a decision over the future of the 22-year-old defender.

Foyth has played just 65 minutes of Premier League football for Spurs this season.

The Yellow-Reds would only be able to sign the Argentina international on a loan move due to the financial position they find themselves.

Galatasaray are unable to make a permanent signing and would even struggle with paying a loan fee.

The report also claims that Shkodran Mustafi is on the transfer shortlist.

The Lions have been closely linked with the Arsenal defender who started in the 2-2 draw against Chelsea on Tuesday 21 January.
