Galatasaray’s Felipe Melo suffers ankle injury

Galatasaray’s experienced defensive midfielder Felipe Melo suffered an ankle injury during his sides 3-1 victory over bottom of the table Balikesirspor on Monday.

The Brazilian international was substituted off thee field in the 60th minute of the game due to his injury.

Scans after the game revealed that Melo has sustained damage to lis right ankle and has begun treatment. The Istanbul Giants confirmed the news on their official website.

Melo is expected to recover in time for Galatasaray’s trip to Sivasspor this weekend.
