Emre Can

Germany beat Poland 3-1 at home to move into first place in Euro 2016 qualification Group D.

Liverpool youngster Emre Can made his debut for the Germany national team starting in a right-back position.

Can is traditionally a central midfielder but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers experimented with him in a defensive back-three and at full-back last season.

Arsenal star Mesut Özil also started for the Germany national side while Galatasaray striker Lukas Podolski was brought on towards the end of the game.

Mario Götze scored a brace and Muller scored Germanys’s other goal while Lewandowski scored Poland’s only goal of the game.
