Fenerbahce have joined the race for Basaksehir starlet Cengiz Under.

Yellow Canaries head coach Dick Advocaat has urged club officials to make signing the 19-year-old a priority.

“Get me this kid, regardless of if I am here or not next season you must sign him,” Advocaat was quoted as saying by the Sabah newspaper.

The 19-year-old joined Basaksehir from the highly acclaimed Altinordu academy last summer.

Under has set the league alight this season directly being involved in 12 goals – five goals, seven assists.

Fenerbahce could face competition from Manchester United.

Turkish-Football recently revealed that the Red Devils have been keeping tabs on the youngster.

Basaksehir vice-president Mustafa Saral revealed that while they have not received an offer from United they would not try and block Under’s path to Old Trafford.

“We have not received offers but there is interest and of course it is an honour to be on the radar of Manchester United,” Saral was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“At the end of the day we would not try to block his path to United but our priority right now is to keep him here.”

The Turkish international is not keen on moving to another Super Lig side, the youngster has his eye on a move to one of the major European leagues.

Turkish newspaper Hurriyet report that United are prepared to offer £6 million for the rising star.
