Freiburg center-back Caglar Soyuncu has been closely linked with a move to Arsenal ever since his former club, Altinordu president, Mehmet Ozkan claimed a deal was near.
“Caglar Soyuncu is set to join Arsenal,” he was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football at International Football Economic Forum held at The Grand Tarabya Hotel in Istanbul.
“Of course we would make a cut from the transfer if he joins Arsenal.
“Arsenal asked us for data on his time at the club, we have put something together for them which will be handed over.”
We live in an era where players giving targets a like on Instagram is interpreted as a transfer hint.
Arsenal star Granit Xhaka however, did not simply like a photo of Soyuncu. The Swiss international liked a comment that wrote Sokratis and Soyuncu were basically done deals.
Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos is also a transfer target.
The fact Xhaka decided to like the comment is interesting, does he know something we don’t? well we should find out shortly.
