Arda Güler, Real Madrid’s teenage prodigy, might be facing a detour from his Bernabéu fairytale and sent out on loan before the end of the winter transfer window according to Sport.
Despite Los Blancos fending off fierce competition, including Barcelona, to secure the Turkish wonderkid from Fenerbahçe last summer, Güler’s path to the first team has hit a roadblock.

A pre-season knee injury in the US sidelined him for months, and his long-awaited debut on January 3rd against Mallorca ended in disappointment.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti assured everyone of Güler’s well-being and talent, advocating patience. However, subsequent appearances in the Copa del Rey and limited minutes in the Spanish Super Cup haven’t quelled concerns.
“I am very aware that he is 18 years old. Calm down, be calm with him. He will be a very important player for the present and for the future. It takes a little patience on everyone’s part. I have it, and so does he. He’ll get his minutes, the quality is there,” Ancelotti recently said.
Güler’s viral bib-throwing incident against Almeria highlighted his mounting frustration. With Ancelotti favoring established veterans in midfield and attack, loan whispers have started filling the air.
Sending Güler away for the remainder of the season could offer him playing time while allowing Real Madrid to assess their veteran players, some like Kroos and Modric approaching retirement.
Despite the latest reports Turkish-Football understands that Güler does not want to leave on loan and is intent on staying and fighting for his place in the team.
The Turkish international is happy in Madrid and looking forward to getting back to regular playing time after recovering from a lengthy injury.
