Arsenal lost their second successive game of the season after losing 3-2 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners have yet to record a single point this term but they have played two of the toughest sides in the league, Manchester City and the Blues.
Mesut Ozil started for the North London outfit for the second game running but was unable to open his goal or assist account.
The playmaker of Turkish origin was taken off on 67 minutes after failing to create a single chance of take a shot on target.
We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to Ozil’s display on social media.
Ozil got a mixed response for his display from the fans.
I watched the Chelsea game again. I really liked the way Ozil took Chelsea’s midfielders out of the game and allowed us to play. However, I feel he’s bit too sluggish at times with his pressing. Chelsea were able to play through way too easily. Are we better suited to a 4-3-3?

Ozil..fed up with the debate..total waste of talent

Back in Islington from the bridge very proud of a fighting spirit but enough is enough, mesut ozil close the door on your way out, that performance was unacceptable and don’t anyone dare approach me with pathetic stats, HAD ENOUGH

I’m holding my thoughts on Mesut Ozil until gameweek 5. #COYG

Mesut Ozil was just a spectator in the field today. Bellerin on the other hand doesn’t deserve to be anywhere near the first team. Welbeck at right back would do a better job than that Spanish hipster.

Thoughts?
At least Emery is seeming to get the measure of two problem characters. Granit Xhaka and Mesut Ozil started but did not finish, would Arsene have made that change?!

A positive note: Ramsey was dropped after the City game after a bad performance. Ozil was substituted after having a bad game today. This would never of happened under Wenger. Those two were untouchable. Unai Emery is managing the team the way it SHOULD be done.

Emery realised very quickly that the likes of Xhaka and Ozil just can’t cut it in a big away game, Xhaka full stop ain’t good enough. Bellerin is in that camp too. I’m glad he subbed players early and spotted they were passengers / liabilities today. We move on to West Ham ?⚪️

Good point.
The changes made no difference. If anything, Chelsea dominated possession in the second half without Ozil and Xhaka on the pitch.

We missed 4 clear cut chances and Ozil, Bellerin and Xhaka are the problem? Ozil and Xhaka goes off in second half and the team has 0 creativity going forward. Yeah. The great minds on Twitter.

The problem was the finishing and defending, both of which Ozil has nothing to do with.

Would you?
Ok here’s one.
Would anyone drop ozil
Play Mkhi in the 10 and play nelson on the right
I know it will never happen but if ozil needs a wake up call like Bellerin then I think It would work

Why is Ozil expected to be a great defender?
I get quite irritated when Ozil is slagged of for not defending when NONE of the other top players in his position defends but are never blamed. When was the last time Silva, Eriksen, Hazard etc (I could go on for days) put in a crunching tackle to win back the ball?

Some common sense.
So far after just two games I’ve seen complete idiot’s on twitter spit venom towards Bellerin, Mustafi, Xhaka, Ramsey and surprise surprise, Mesut Ozil. New system, new style takes time to adapt. Patience is key here. Stop acting like complete and utter c*nts
