‘He Is A Goalscorer’ – Former Everton Striker Reveals Which Player Impressed Him In Dubai

Daniel Amokachi knows all about Everton and Besiktas having played for both clubs back in the day.

Amokachi left Everton for Besiktas in 1996 and his twins Kalim and Nazim are currently in the club youth academy system.

The former Besiktas man opened up about Cenk Tosun who left the Black Eagles for Everton in January.

The ex Nigeria international striker believes Tosun will have to get used to cultural differences as well as the physical demands but that he was impressed with his performances in Dubai.

“It’s a different way of life when it comes to football,” said Amokachi. “For a player who is not used to the pace and the demands of the Premier League, it is tough.

“But he is a goalscorer, definitely. I saw a couple of clips of the team in Dubai and he is working hard. I am sure that will help him and the whole team.”

Tosun started his first two games after joining Everton but has been relegated to the bench in favour of Oumar Niasse ever since.

The Turkey international was deemed not fit enough by head coach Sam Allardyce.

Tosun helped Besiktas book a place in the Champions League Last 16.

The 26-year-old was involved in six of the Black Eagles 11 goals in the group stage.

Besiktas became the first Turkish side to finish the groups as undefeated leaders.

The striker would have been likely to start today for the Istanbul giants against Bayern Muncih in the first-leg at the Allianz Arena.
