Arsenal forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan has issued a response to those who doubt he and Mesut Ozil can play in the same team.
The Armenia international made the move to Arsenal in January from Manchester United in a deal which saw Alexis Sanchez go in the opposite direction.
Mkhitaryan played a starring role during Arsenal’s surprise 2-0 win over AC Milan on Thursday night.
The former Borussia Dortmund star scored his side’s opening goal while Ozil provided the assist.
Following the final whistle, Mkhitaryan revealed that he loves to play alongside Ozil and believes that the duo can continue to combine and produce impressive results for the Gunners.

“Yes, everyone is asking about that [playing in the same team as Ozil], but why not?” Mkhitaryan told Vivaro News.
“This is not the first time that two No.10s play together. It’s just a pleasure to play alongside such a player like Mesut Ozil, because everyone knows that he is a world-class player.
“If I’m not mistaken, he provided two assists for the first and second goals. Why not? He can assist me and I can assist him as well.”
Aresnal are back in action this weekend when they face Watford FC in the Premier League. It is unclear whether manager Arsene Wenger will opt to drop his star names in the league to rest them for European competition.
The Europa League remains Arsenal’s only realistic hope of playing UEFA Champions League next season.
