Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino appears to be in the dark regarding the future of star striker Vincent Janssen.
The 23-year-old joined Fenerbahce on a season-long loan until the end of the season over the summer. However, Janssen has struggled with injuries since his move and has managed to score just two goals for the Istanbul giants.
The latest reports from Turkey suggest that Fenerbahce are thinking about terminating Janssen’s loan-deal prematurely. Per the source, the Netherlands international could be out for a further three months due to a toe injury.
However, Tottenham manager Pochettino is not aware of the striker’s current situation. When asked at a press conference whether there is any truth to those reports Pochettino refuted the claims.
“When is he coming back? No, he’s not coming back,” Pochettino stated.
“He’s injured. Maybe you know better than me? But I don’t see him since the summer, I haven’t met him again. I don’t know.”
