“He’s set himself a standard” – Neville sends warning to Arsenal star following win over Tottenham
Former England international Gary Neville has urged Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil that he must keep up his performances if he is to silence critics.
The 29-year-old was the star of the show over the weekend during Arsenal’s win over their biter rivals Tottenham.
Ozil provided the assist for his sides opened during their 2-0 victory. Neville named the Germany international as Man of the Match following the final whistle.
Neville has now warned Ozil that it is time for him to consistently perform at a high level for the Gunners.
“He’s set himself a standard today in terms of the way in which he’s played, the way in which he’s worked and the way in which he’s applied himself.” Neville stated during Sky Sports‘ coverage of the game on Saturday.
Arsenal are back in action on Thursday night when they take on FC Koln in the Europa League.
The Gunners they travel up north to take on Burnley FC this weekend as they look to maintain their winning run in the Premier League.
