Theo Walcott scored the winning goal for the Toffees.
Cenk Tosun started for the Merseyside based outfit and put in another hard-working display but was unable to find the back of the net or find an assist – although some fans thought he did setup up Walcott.

Working largely with a group of players he inherited, has Sam Allardyce not done at least a decent job at Goodison?
