Liverpool have been closely linked with a move for Hoffenheim midfielder Kerem Demirbay over the past week.
Demirbay has been in fine form since returning from injury and put on an impressive display in the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League.
Turkish-Football reported that the Reds have rekindled interest in the midfielder of Turkish origin.
Liverpool have been linked with Demirbay in the past but he spent much of the second half of last season out injured and recently extended his contract to 2022.
We took a look at how Reds fans reacted to the latest transfer reports regarding Demirbay on social media.

Liverpool fans, in general, appeared happy being linked with Demirbay but some did mention his injury record as a potential concern.
The rumoured release clause for Demirbay makes it a no brainer imo. We need more creativity and he can do it from all areas of the pitch whether he’s deep, wide or high up the pitch he’s got a great passing range. We need more players like this imo. Huge upgrade on Lallana

Demirbay is a good creative player, and a canny potential move in comparison to targeting somebody like Ramsey, but we would still need more in the summer. Plus his ankle injuries recently are cause for concern.

Demirbay doesn’t address that problem, but he’d be welcome, anyway. Impressed me when we played Hoffenheim.

Suits our style but worried about injuries . How bad did he injure his knee?

I’ve been calling for this one. Make it happen. #LFC

Tidy player. Had his injuries though

Yeah he will probably be £20m max or so. I think we will only sign 1 more midfielder in the next few windows, Havertz is the main one for me. But I would take Demirbay for sure if he is available.

Demirbay do #LFC? That would be a brilliant signing by the Reds but he renewed his contract in April (there hasn’t been talk about his exit clause since) and he has just come back from an injury that kept him out of the World Cup.

We lack creativity in midfield… he’s a skillful player… still young enough for Klopp to develop… Klopp has worked with him in the past and likes him… Lallana is aging could be possible replacement…. available for same price as Origi…. seems good business to me

Interesting piece on how Demirbay could fit in at Liverpool. The 25-year-old is an attack-minded central midfielder who can play in deep or advanced positions.
Demirbay played for Turkey at U19 and U20 level before switching to Germany U21s and then returning to the Crescent-Stars U21 side.
The midfielder eventually represented Germany at senior level and has two caps for the national team.
I like this piece on Demirbay. Shows how he’d complement Naby Keïta and Gini Wijnaldum. //t.co/ERbCrdJ7Ze
