“I don’t care” – Arsenal star makes surprise Mesut Ozil & Alexis Sanchez admission
Arsenal star duo Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez could be on their way out of the north London based club in the near future.
The pair have failed to pen a new deal with the Gunners and could both end up leaving the club for free in the summer.
However, despite the pair’s precarious contract situation, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is utilising them at every opportunity.
Both Ozil and Sanchez started for Arsenal during the 2-2 draw with London rivals Chelsea.
However, Germany international defender Shkodran Mustafi has stated that he does not care whether the duo stay or not.
“But the headlines, that is something really personal for them,” Mustafi told the Evening Standard.
“They decide [their futures] with the manager so I don’t care too much about it.
“The only thing we care about is when they are on the pitch, they give everything.
“That makes it, for me, easier, because when I see the people in front give everything it makes me want to give everything as well.”
Sanchez was linked with a £60 million move to Man City over the summer while Barcelona and Man United have been linked with moves for Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways this weekend when they take on Nottingham Forrest in the FA Cup this weekend.
