Leyton Orient have appointed Omer Riza as head coach following Danny Webb’s resignation after two months as manager.

Riza has become the 11th managerial appointment at Orient in the last three years since Francesco Becchetti brough the club in 2014.

The 37-year-old has become the fifth man to manage Orient this season.

The former striker of Turkish origin faces a tough task to turn around the fortunes of the financially imperilled club who are bottom of League Two.

Riza’s former club Arsenal were on hand to give him some encouragement.

The official Arsenal twitter account shared a picture of Riza wearing an Arsenal kit wishing him good luck.
