(Image) Arsenal star given Lukas Podolski a Turkish farewell
Lukas Podolski played his final game for Germany, scoring the winning goal in the 1-0 victory over England on Wednesday 22 March.
Arsenal star Mesut Ozil was unable to play due to a hamstring injury but he did join Podolski for the post match celebrations.

Ozil sent a post-game picture with his Germany teammates including Podolski alongside a tweet which bid farewell in Turkish: “All the best, Abi! We’ll miss you, bro! @Podolski10 #GAZVER #AHA #TschöPoldi”
Abi is Turkish for older brother and ‘Gaz ver’ means give them some gas – a term used to provide motivation.
Ozil is of course fluent in Turkish. Podolski also speaks some Turkish which he has learned while playing for Galatasaray.
