Emre Can has returned to Liverpool to begin preparations for the upcoming 2016-17 Premier League season.
The 22-year-old has been on extended leave in the USA after competing at Euro 2016 with Germany earlier this summer. Can made just one appearances for Joachim Low’s side.
Can uploaded a picture to Instagram along with the caption, “Back in Liverpool.”
Can spent time with Liverpool legend Seven Gerrard during his holiday in the States. The combative midfielder had lunch with the former England international.
I met him in LA and we went for lunch. It’s always great to see Stevie,” Can told Liverpool FC.
Gerrard won the 2005 Champions League with Liverpool and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic players in the history of the club. Can recently revealed in the past he would love to become a world class player like Gerrard in the future.
Can provided three assists and scored two goals in 49 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions last season.
