In form Man Utd target eyed by Jose Mourinho set to start for Galatasaray

Man United target Bruma

Bruma has been tipped for greatness ever since bursting onto the scene at Sporting Lisbon. The winger was once regarded as being the understudy for Cristiano Ronaldo but after a few disappointing seasons blighted by injury troubles he faced the prospect of being a wonder-kid that never lived up to his billing.

The 21-year-old has however, found a new lease of life at Galatasaray which started with an impressive pre-season campaign.

So impressive in fact that he caught the eye of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho when the two sides met in Sweden.

United won the game 5-2 but Bruma managed to get his name on the scoresheet with this fine effort.

Bruma revealed that Mourinho held a brief meeting with him after the game.

“He congratulated me for the performance and said he was impressed with me,” Bruma was quoted as saying by Turkish-football.com. “He promised to closely monitor my work and said I could play for the national team soon.

“Of course it was amazing to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season.”

Bruma has one goal and two assists in his first three games for Galatasaray this season and has won two man of the match awards already for the Istanbul giants.

The Portuguese winger is almost certain to start for the Lions today at the Turk Telekom Arena against Rizespor.
