Inter prepare bid for former Arsenal youth Ozyakup

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Besiktas playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Inter are preparing to make a bid for Beşiktaş midfielder Oğuzhan Özyakup according to Turkish sports radio station Radyospor.

Beşiktaş were recently reported to have transfer listed according to Eurosport TR after the midfielder struggled to hold down a regular first team spot under Slaven Bilic.

The club could however, reconsider his future as Bilic has resigned from his position as head coach.

Inter Milan were reported to be considering making a €5 million offer Özyakup according to SempreInter.

The 22-year-old midfielder had two goals and 11 assists in all 40 appearances for the Istanbul giants last season.

Özyakup joined Beşiktaş from Arsenal in 2012 for a fee of €500,000.

The former Netherlands youth international captain switched allegiances to Turkey and has 10 senior caps for the Crescent-Stars.

The Turkish international midfielder has a total of 11 goals and 23 assists in 99 appearances for Beşiktaş in all competitions.
