‘We are interested in Jeremain Lens’ – Turkish league champions plot controversial move for Sunderland winger

“We are interested in Jeremain Lens, we were interested before he even joined Fenerbahce,” Orman was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.
“Lens is an excellent player.
“We will see, at the same time it is not a transfer we are desperate for.”
Lens has been in great form for Fenerbahce this season scoring five goals and providing 16 assists for the Istanbul giants.
Besiktas and Fenerbahce are bitter rivals, if Lens were to join the reigning Turkish league champions it could worsen relations.
Gokhan Gonul left Fenerbahce for Besiktas last summer, a move which still has not been forgotten by Yellow Canaries fans.
Fenerbahce responded by signing Besiktas full-back Ismail Koybasi.
Talksport report that Lens is expected to leave Sunderland over the summer transfer window.
Besiktas won the league title for the second season running over the weekend and will be able to offer Lens Champions League football next season.
