Italian giants eye move for Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho – Reds demand £30 million fee
Italian Serie A giants Roma are the latest side to be linked with a move for Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho.
Sakho is currently on loan at Crystal Palace until the end of the season. The France international has been a revelation for the Eagles and has helped lift them out of the relegation zone.
However, Palace do not have a buy-out-clause agreed meaning Sakho is likely to return to Liverpool this summer.
The powerful defender fell out with Jurgen Klopp last year and is not expected to feature in the German tactician’s plans going forward.
Palace will no doubt be interested in signing Sakho but they face competition from abroad.
A source close to Besiktas told Turkish-Football that the club have been scouting Sakho throughout the season. The Black Eagles are looking to bolster their defensive options this summer.
Meanwhile, Goal have reported that Serie A giants Roma are interested in taking Sakho to Italy in the upcoming transfer window. Per the source, Roma are lining up a replacement for Kostas Manolas who could leave in the summer.
However, the report goes onto state that Liverpool have slapped a £30 million price tag on the France international.
