Italian Giants Join Race For Liverpool Ace Who Has Been Green Light To Leave Anfield, Besiktas Hold Talks

Napoli have joined the race for Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet according to Belgium outlet Het Nieuwsblad.

Per the source, the Italian giants have joined the race for Mignolet but face competition from Turkey.

The report claims that Mignolet only has a ‘very small’ chance at remaining at Liverpool next season.

Mignolet has fallen down the pecking order and is now third-choice behind Alisson Becker and Loris Karius.

Napoli are looking for a new keeper after summer signing Alex Meret suffered an arm fracture injury.

The Serie A outfit are keen on a loan deal but the Reds financial demands are proving to be a problem.

Besiktas are also interested in the Belgium international.

Turkish-Football reported on July 25 that the Super Lig outfit want the keeper on a loan deal.

The Black Eagles are in pursuit of a replacement for Fabri who joined Fulham last month.

Besiktas have three transfer targets on their shortlist to fill Fabri’s boots, Arsenal keeper David Ospina, Mignolet and Bursaspor shot stopper Harun Tekin.

Mignolet made 19 Premier League appearances for Liverpool last season and does have another three-years remaining on his contract with the Reds.
