Italian giants offer €20m for Arsenal & Everton target, Bundesliga outfit want €30m

Italian giants AC Milan have offered €20 million [excluding bonuses] for Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Per the source, Bayer Leverkusen are demanding €30 million which has resulted in a deadlock.

The Serie A outfit are working on a way to find a mutually beneficial deal.

Calhanoglu has been transfer listed but Bayer are reluctant to lower their demands considering the star playmaker still has two-years left on his contract.

Negotiations are ongoing according to the report however, if AC Milan do not complete the transfer it leaves the door open for rivals to hijack the deal.

Calhanoglu has had no shortage of interest with Arsenal and Everton both closely linked.

The BILD recently linked Arsenal, Tottenham and Everton with the Turkish international.

A source close to the player told Turkish-Football that Calhanoglu is keen on a move to the Premier League or La Liga and that he does not see himself as having a future at Bayer.

Calhanoglu is reaching the end of a four-month ban given in February for breach of contract after signing for Trabzonspor as a teenager but never joining the club.

The Turkish international was in red hot form until his suspension, scoring seven goals and seven assists in all competitions.
