Italian giants remain patient in pursuit of Liverpool midfielder despite ‘excessively high demands’

Italian giants Juventus remain patient in their pursuit of Liverpool midfielder Emre Can according to Tuttosport.

Per the source, Juve have not been put off by the Reds ‘excessively high demands’.

The report claims that the Serie A champions have a three man midfield shortlist.

N’Zonzi, Matuidi and Can are being targeted by Juve.

Sevila, PSG and the Reds have however, all set a high asking price on their respective players.

Juventus are well aware that they would be able to sign Can on a free transfer in six-months time if he does not sign a new deal.

The 23-year-old has 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to reach an agreement over an extension.

The Reds are not keen on selling their star midfielder this summer.

The midfielder of Turkish origin is currently on holiday in California, enjoying a break after winning the Confederations Cup with Germany.

Can is expected to return to pre-season training with the rest of the Reds squad once his break is over.
