“It was a great game from our side – we were dominant and created, especially in the first half when we had very good chances,” Ilkay Gundogan was quoted as saying by the Mirror.

“This is the way we want to play, it doesn’t matter whether it’s Chelsea or someone else, the former champions or not, we always try to keep the ball and play our type of football.

“This squad has huge quality and it’s fun to be out there because every single player is able to do something special. We aim to play simple but in a perfect way – that’s the football we love, and at the moment it’s a lot of fun.

“We know we have had an amazing season and we just want to continue that in both competitions, and be successful.

“In the Premier League it looks very good, we are in a very comfortable position and are enjoying it until the next game.”
