‘I’ve told Arsenal I want to leave & would play in Turkey’ – 28-year-old David Ospina reveals shock transfer revelation

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has revealed that he wants a summer exit.

The Colombian international admitted that he is happy at Arsenal but that he wants regular first team football.

Ospina has informed Arsenal that he intends to leave and has also stated that he is open to playing in Turkey next season.

The 28-year-old underlined that Arsenal understand his situation and will not attempt to block a summer departure.

“My agent is dealing with transfer matters but I will say this, I’ve told Arsenal that I want to leave and I would play in Turkey,” Ospina told Fanatik reporters Edip Adanir.

“I am actually happy at Arsenal but I want to play regularly, the club understands my situation and will not attempt to block a summer exit.

“We will just have to wait and see what happens next.”

The Colombian keeper has played second-fiddle to Petr Cech in the Premier League but was first-choice in the Champions League this season.

Ospina has been closely linked with a move to Fenerbahce over the past months.
Fanatik recently reported that Fenerbahce have already agreed personal terms with the experienced keeper.

Per the source, Ospina will sign a four-year deal if Fenerbahce agree a transfer fee with Arsenal.

The Yellow Canaries are keen on wrapping up the deal for a £3 million transfer fee.

The keeper has kept four clean sheets in 13 appearances for the North London outfit this season.

Fenerbahce are currently third in the Turkish league and have guaranteed European competition football next season.
