[divider]Joachim Low is set to call Emre Can up to the German national team despite being left out of the Liverpool squad by manager Brendan Rodgers in recent weeks.
According to the German newspaper Bild, Can is one of a number of youngsters being monitored by Low.
Low has seen a number of his World Cup winning contingent retire since the tournament in Brazil, including Philipp Lahm, Per Mertesacker and Miroslav Klose.
Can did not receive any playing time against Arsenal, Manchester United, Sunderland Stoke City and Leicester City.
The 20-year-old moved to Liverpool on a £9.75m deal from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
Can has scored one goal in nine appearances for Liverpool this season.
