Jose Mourinho has failed to win a single game in Turkey as manager of Man Utd & Chelsea

Manchester United ended up losing 2-1 against Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday evening at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.

The victory just added more misery to an already dismal run of form for United. The Red Devils have failed to win any of their last seven away games in European competition and are not doing well domestically either.

The defeat marked yet another failed attempt by United boss Jose Mourinho at trying to record his first victory in Turkey.

Mourinho has coached four different teams that have played a European game in Turkey losing twice and drawing twice.

The Portuguese manager was held to a 2-2 draw against Denizlispor during his time in charge of Porto.

Mourinho lost 3-2 against Galatasaray during his time in charge of Real Madrid and was held to a 1-1 draw against the Lions during his time in charge of Chelsea.

The experienced coach was made his first job offer outside of Portugal by Fenerbahce in 2003 but had never actually managed a team in a game at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium until yesterday.

Mourinho record in Turkey:

Fenerbahçe 2-1 Man Utd – 2016
Galatasaray 1-1 Chelsea – 2014
Galatasaray 3-2 Real Madrid – 2013
Denizli 2-2 Porto – 2003
