Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on a reunion with former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin according to Football Italia.
Sahin is, of course, no stranger to Anfield having played there for six months during his loan to Liverpool from Real Madrid in 2012.
The deal sparked a lot of excitement but Sahin struggled to settle in and did not get on with former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.
Sahin returned to Dortmund at the end of the season to be reunited with Klopp – who previously coached the German outfit.
Klopp was responsible for first unearthing Sahin at the Bundesliga outfit and is a keen admirer of the Turkish international.
Sahin has 12 months remaining on his contract at Dortmund, the German side are not expected to offer a new deal.
The 29-year-old has also been targeted by Galatasaray.
A Spor report that Lions manager Fatih Terim wants Sahin but the Turkey international is not keen on a move to the Super Lig.
The central midfielder scored two goals and provided three assists in 25 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions this season.
Sahin won the 2010-11 Bundesliga title and finished the 2012-13 Champions League as runners-up under the stewardship of Klopp at Dortmund.
