Klopp Willing To Sell Liverpool Defender This Summer Amid Reports Of Talks With Damien Comolli

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is willing to sell Ragnar Klavan before the end of the European transfer window markets end according to Goal.

Per the source, Klavan is one of several Reds players including Simon Mignolet, Lazar Markovic, Pedro Chirivella and Divock Origi who could find themselves playing for a new club.

The latest development will come as a boost for Fenerbahce who are keen on signing Klavan according to multiple reports in the Turkish media over the past week.

The Fanatik newspaper published a story today that Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is in talks with Liverpool.

The report does however, claim that the Yellow Canaries want the Estonia international on loan.

The 32-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his contract meaning Liverpool would be letting him leave for free next summer if the move were to go ahead.

Fenerbahce would be unable to pay a transfer fee for Klavan due to being in debt to the tune of €621m.

The Yellow Canaries are under pressure to curb spending from Financial Fair Play or face penalties.

The Super Lig outfit would however, be able to cover wages and spread the cost out in installments.
