Juventus summer signing Emre Can made his first start for the Turin based club over the weekend.
Can made the move to Juve over the summer on a free transfer after his contract with Liverpool expired.
It was the 24-year-old’s first start since last March.
Speaking to the media after the game, Can stated that he is delighted to be making his first start of the season.
“Last year I was injured and I think the last time I started a match was in March. As this was my first game I think it went pretty well I know that I can do better, but I’m happy to have helped the team,” Can told Juventus’ official website.
The Germany international also compared playing with Liverpool in the Premier League to playing in Italy.
“Compared to the English Premier League, football is different, the teams defend themselves very well and give fewer chances.”
Emre Can was a first-team regular for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side last season and make a total of 38 appearances.
The 24-year-old has made four assists for Juventus this season and has registered one assist. The Serie A giants are back in action on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League when they take on Valencia.
