Juventus are preparing an improved offer of €30 million for Borussia Dortmund’s star midfielder Ilkay Gündoğan according to the Turkish newspaper AMK.
The daily sports paper states the Serie A champions want to sign the Germany international in January.
However, the news comes amid reports from the Italian outlet Sport Mediaset (via Mirror) who state that Juventus have cooled interest in the Germany international.
The report states that Juventus director Beppe Marotta told Sport Mediaset they will not be making any major additions to their squad during the winter transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool since the appointment of Jugen Klopp.
Gündoğan played the full 90 minutes during Borussia Dortmund’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of FC Koln in the Bundesliga.
Dortmund sit in second place in the league with 38 points in 17 games.
