The 19-year-old forward has been nicknamed the ‘Turkish Dybala’ due to physical as well as playing style similarities with the Juventus ace.
Basaksehir manager Abdullah Avci did confirm last month that Manchester United and Tottenham have shown an interest in his rising star.
The ex Turkish national team head coach also revealed that Lille had made an offer.
Avci told TRT Spor: “Yes, it’s true there is some interest for Cengiz. It’s normal that the clubs like Tottenham and United are showing interest for him because the kid is a good footballer.
I can confirm we have received only one bid for Cengiz which was came from Lille. The offer was €6.5m and we rejected it. But I know the club are anticipating an offer from Tottenham. Do we sell him, it remains to be seen, but I want him to stay with us next season.”
Chelsea have also been closely linked with Under ever since he revealing he wants to play for the club.
“The league I really want to play in is the Premier League and I would also love La Liga,” Under told beIN Turkey.
“I want to play for Manchester United or Chelsea, also Barcelona or Real Madrid.”
The Sozcu newspaper claim that Chelsea offered €7.5 million for the youngster but that Basaksehir are not prepared to accept a bid below their valuation.
Under enjoyed an impressive breakthrough season in the Super Lig, scoring nine times and providing seven assists for the surprise league runners-up.
The 19-year-old has also established himself as a regular national team call-up, scorning in both games he has started for Turkey – against Moldova and Kosovo.
