Kenan Yıldız, who was called up to the Turkish national team squad for the first time, made his international debut against Croatia.
Yildiz was involved in a tug of war between Turkiye and Germany who both wanted him to represent their respective nations at senior international level.

The Juventus rising star played for Turkiye at youth international level but still had the option to switch to Germany, his country of birth.
Yildiz was however, convinced by newly appointed manager Vincenzo Montella to represent the Crescent-Stars.
He came on as a substitute for Kerem Aktürkoğlu in the 86th minute of the match.
Turkiye ended up beating Croatia 1-0 away from home in the Euro 2024 Group D qualifier to go top.
Yıldız, who has played in four official matches for Juventus this season put on an impressive display.
The 18-year-old looked a menace when running at the Croatia defence with the ball, showcasing impressive skills, physicality and speed.
Yıldız is a very talented player, and he is expected to have a bright future with the Turkish national team.
Juventus released a statement on the official club website praising the player.
The statement read: “It’s another milestone achieved for Yildiz, who made his senior debut with Juventus earlier this season, having notched up three appearances so far this campaign.
Congratulations, Kenan!”
