Michal Kadlec – ‘I saw snow for the first time in Turkey’ [divider]

Fenerbahçe defender Michal Kadlec told reporters that he saw snow for the first time in Turkey following his adventure to the north-eastern region of Bayburt.

The Yellow Canaries beat the PTT 3. Lig side 3-1 in the Turkish Cup to move into first place but Kadlec seemed more interested in the sights and sounds.

“A few friends came to visit me in Istanbul, we went for a meal and I showed them around the city,” Kadlec said.

“They really liked the place and wanted to travel with me to Bayburt. 

“It was quite exciting as I had never been to that region before, we flew east for two hours and then got on a bus and passed a mountain range. 

“I saw snow for the first time in Turkey and played a game without proper lighting for the first time in a while. 

“As for the game we were expected to win and did, they were a lower league side so we should not make too much of a deal about the victory.”
