Kartal – ‘I consult Joachim Löw for help’ [divider]

Fenerbahçe manager Ismail Kartal admitted he regularly consults German national team coach Joachim Löw.

“Löw is my close friend and I regularly consult him,” Kartal said.

“If you follow German football closely you will know that they have had a similar problem with their World Cup stars struggling for form. 

“Dirk Kuyt and Emmanuel Emenike returned from the World Cup, they struggled with fitness and conditioning but they are both improving. 

“I am implementing changes and changes take a while to adapt to, we need time but we also know how to win when we aren’t at our best.”

Fenerbahçe beat Mersin 1-0 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium to move into first place in the Süper Lig on 33 points.

The Yellow Canaries are undefeated at home this season, recording seven wins and one draw.
