Kartal praises Fenerbahce strikers [divider]
Fenerbahçe manager Ismail Kartal revealed that he was delighted with his teams performance following the 4-1 win against Sivasspor.
“I was expected a score like this, we deserved it and I have to congratulate my players,” Kartal said.
“We competed well but still made a few unforced errors and could have done better.
“We dominated in the early period and took an early lead which helped but lost concentration later on.
“What is important is that we got three points and moved back into first place in the table.
“We have struggled to win by a convincing margin this season so it was good to finally have a comfortable victory.”
Kartal also praised his forwards Moussa Sow and Dirk Kuyt for scoring against Sivasspor.
“Our strikers were under a lot of pressure going into the game so their goals and assists lifted a lot of weight off their shoulders,” Kartal said.
“Moussa Sow really wanted to score, he works so hard in training and deserved to get on the scoresheet, I was so happy for him.”
Fenerbahçe moved into first place on 27 points following the win.
