The playmaker of Turkish origin now has two goals and five assists in all competitions for the North London based outfit this season.
As expected Ozil received widespread praise following the clash.
We took a look at how Arsenal fans reacted to his display on social media.

And to think he could be leaving! Ozil has under 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to sign a new deal.
You will never find a better creater anywhere…Ozil is just a freak of Nature….a once in a lifetime player…keep him at all costs!!!

I think they call this dark humour.
Shit. If that’s how Ozil plays when he’s had a cold, I hope he gets syphilis on the plane home.

The Kevin De Bruyne vs Ozil debate hit a new low.
Watching this fat Belgian ginger downie spray pointless passes across the field while Ozil’s producing a masterclass wow hate my life
— adam (@FutboiAdam) November 29, 2017
The Ozil vs Eriksen debate also rages on.
Mesut Ozil: 2 assists and a goal in 4 minutes.
Meanwhile Christian Eriksen hasn’t assisted a goal for two months.

Two assists by Mesut Ozil in 60 seconds. Dont you ever compare him with de Bruyne or Eriksen.
The best attacking midfielder in the world ?

Four minutes! Ozil scored one goal and provided two assists in four minutes for the first time in his career.
Mesut Ozil has just killed this game with a ludicrous 10 minutes of football. Assist, assist, goal, all of it one touch. What a player!
— Jack Pitt-Brooke (@JackPittBrooke) November 29, 2017
Can’t win em all over Mesut! there is always one… even after two goals and an assist he still gets criticised.
Well played Ozil.
Brilliant against rubbish.
