Arsenal legend Martin Keown has reacted to Mesut Ozil’s masterclass on Thursday evening.

The 29-year-old was the star of the show during the Gunners 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow in the Europa League.

Ozil won played a key role in his side’s opener, won the penalty for their second and provided the assist for the Gunners final two goals.

Following the game, Keown told Ozil star he must maintain his current run of form if Arsenal want to win the Europa League.

“You sit down and look of a way to describe this player,” Martin Keown stated live on BT Sport following the final whistle.

“There is a sharpness of mind, there is a technical ability and there’s a weight of pass and everything was right tonight.

“Everything was first class in his approach, in the way he played, you just need to bottle all of that.

“Keep playing like that for the rest of the season.

“Whatever they’re saying to him now, whatever way they’re getting him fired up, keep doing it because he’s back on blob and Arsenal need him to be like that to win the Europa League.”

Arsenal are back in action this weekend when they take on Southampton in the Premier League. Arsene Wenger may opt to rest some of his star names as he switches his focus to the Europa League.

The Gunners will be hoping to complete the job when they travel to Moscow for the second leg next Thursday.
